Paul Di’Anno, the former lead singer of iconic rock band Iron Maiden, has died at the age of 66. His representatives confirmed that Di’Anno passed away at his home in Salisbury, England.
In an official statement, Di’Anno’s family and Conquest Music said, “On behalf of his family, Conquest Music are sad to confirm the death of Paul Andrews, professionally known as Paul Di’Anno. Paul passed away at his home in Salisbury at the age of 66.” Di’Anno was born on May 17, 1958, in Chingford, East London, and rose to fame as the frontman of Iron Maiden from 1978 to 1981.
Iron Maiden expressed their sorrow over the loss, stating they were “deeply saddened” by the news of Di’Anno’s passing.
