Shreveport native and Rock & Roll Hall of Famer James Burton received a prestigious honor as he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Nashville.

The event marked the induction of its 153rd, 154th, and 155th members, celebrating the contributions of country music legends John Anderson, James Burton, and the late Toby Keith. The Medallion Ceremony took place at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s CMA Theater, attended by Anderson, Burton, Toby Keith’s widow, and Tricia Covel.

Burton was recognized in the Recording and/or Touring Musician category, highlighting his extensive work as a guitarist for various artists, including icons like Elvis Presley and Elvis Costello. This induction solidifies Burton’s legacy in the world of country music.
