The Uptown Music Collective (UMC) is set to launch its 2024-2025 performance season with “Midnight Train to Memphis: A Tribute to Modern Country.” The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. on November 8 and 9 at the Community Arts Center, located at 220 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
The performance will highlight music from contemporary country music stars including Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, Tyler Childers, and Taylor Swift. The show will be presented by the collective’s student performance group, Special Performance Group 1 (SPG1), which consists of UMC students aged 13 to 18. This talented group of young musicians is known for delivering high-quality performances that resonate within the local community.
Tickets for the performance can be purchased exclusively through the Community Arts Center box office and on their website.
In addition to this opening show, tickets for the entire 2024-2025 Performance Season at the Community Arts Center are now available. Upcoming performances include “Music That Made the Movies: Soundtracks That Rock!” on January 25, “Wonderwall: The Ultimate ‘90s Mix” on March 15, and “‘80s Arena Rock: Power Ballads and Rock Anthems” on April 25 and 26.
