Following her successful collaboration with Rosalía on the hit single “New Woman,” BLACKPINK’s Lisa is setting her sights on her next musical partnership: a duet with Doja Cat. The 27-year-old rapper and singer revealed that while she has many artists she would love to work with, Doja Cat is currently her primary focus. “But for now that I can think of, Doja Cat. I love her,” Lisa stated.
During the conversation, Lisa also reminisced about her childhood, recalling how her father frequently played Sixpence None the Richer’s 1998 hit “Kiss Me.” This song is interpolated in her solo track “Moonlit Floor.” “I was so happy! As soon as I heard the song I was like, ‘It’s that song!’” she exclaimed, describing it as a full-circle moment.
Additionally, Lisa praised Rosalía for her professionalism and dedication during the “New Woman” video shoot. “She’s amazing; she’s a professional. Every single take, she’s just doing her thing,” Lisa said. She expressed admiration for how Rosalía maintains her artistic identity and aspirations to embody that same authenticity in her own career.
