Classic Rock Comes Alive at New Music Festival

A new music festival celebrating the evolution of classic rock is set to debut in March 2025, headlined by the iconic band Tool. Organized by Maynard James Keenan and his bandmates, the “Tool Live in the Sand” festival will take place from March 7 to 9 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino & Royalton Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

The festival promises an impressive lineup, featuring not only Tool but also renowned acts like Primus and Mastodon. Support will come from a diverse range of artists, including King’s X, Coheed and Cambria, Eagles of Death Metal, Fishbone, Wheel, CKY, and Moonwalker.

With nearly 35 years in the music industry, Tool’s announcement underscores the changing definition of classic rock, now encompassing bands like Linkin Park and 3 Doors Down, which have also been recognized in the genre. The festival aims to attract a broad audience of rock fans eager to experience a mix of heavy metal and classic sounds in a vibrant setting.
