In a heartfelt response to Hurricane Helene, nearly a dozen country music stars gathered in Charlotte for the “Concert for Carolina,” headlined by North Carolina natives Luke Combs and Eric Church. The event, held at Bank of America Stadium, attracted thousands of fans donning cowboy boots and gear, many with personal connections to the affected regions.

Attendee Susan Johnson shared her family’s experience, saying, “I have a niece who couldn’t get out of her house. She was fine, but they couldn’t leave.” Bonnie Britt echoed this sentiment, noting, “My son lives in Asheville; he was affected by the hurricane. So he and his wife and four dogs have been living with us for the last five weeks.”

All proceeds from the concert will benefit various non-profit organizations across the state, a cause that resonates deeply with headliner Luke Combs. “The Manna Food Bank is one; my mom and I volunteered there. She would take me on the weekends to sort boxes in the warehouse,” Combs recalled, emphasizing the importance of community support during challenging times.
