Rose’s latest single “Apt.,” featuring Bruno Mars, is poised to reshape K-pop’s global appeal as it soars to the top of streaming charts worldwide. Music critics have lauded the track for its “intuitive” quality and strong hook, making it accessible to listeners across generations.
On Friday, The Black Label, Rose’s agency, announced that “Apt.” surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify just seven days after its release. This remarkable feat makes it the fastest single to reach this milestone for a female K-pop solo artist and the second-fastest overall for any K-pop act, following Jungkook of BTS.
Rose revealed that the song draws inspiration from Korea’s popular “Apartment Game,” adding a unique cultural element to its widespread appeal.
