Pop music sensation Chappell Roan is hinting at a new project following the success of her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Roan teased fans with a playful nod to the reality show Love Island, sharing an image of her album and writing, “Album kinda popped off imo but it is time to welcome a hot new bombshell into the villa,” echoing the show’s signature introductions for new contestants.
While details remain scarce, producer Dan Nigro revealed in a recent New York Times interview that they have completed five tracks for the new project. This collection will feature a lively, up-tempo country song with a fiddle, along with several ballads and a mid-tempo rock track. Fans can also expect “The Subway,” a song she has showcased at various festivals.
Looking ahead, Roan is set to perform at the Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona in 2025, where she will share the stage with artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX.
