Local country music western band Gunsmoke, in collaboration with the Piedmont Club of Darien, is hosting the annual Music for Hope charity concert and dinner on Saturday, November 9, at 6 p.m. The event will feature performances by Gunsmoke and local band Wingmen, with food and beverages available for purchase. Proceeds from the concert will benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Gunsmoke, an award-winning Nashville recording group, regularly performs at Broadway’s Opry City Stage and has released six albums. The band has had the honor of performing for two sitting U.S. Presidents and is enshrined in the Connecticut Country Music Hall of Fame. Founded by brothers Jeff and Nick DeMaio Jr. of Darien, Gunsmoke has been delivering classic country, western, swing, and rockabilly music for over 25 years. The Piedmont Club, Darien’s Italian American Club established in 1916, serves as a hub for many local groups and civic organizations. Known for hosting blood drives, sponsoring youth sports, and providing scholarships, the club has previously partnered with Music for Hope and Gunsmoke for benefit concerts.

Admission to the Music for Hope concert is $25. Reservations and donations can be made in advance by calling (203) 554-1507. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. The Piedmont Club is located at 152 Hecker Avenue in Darien.
