Country music rising star and University of Mount Olive alumnus Erik Hawks will be a featured performer at the university’s Fall Festival during Homecoming Weekend. Hawks, who has made a name for himself in the country music scene and received the Carolina Country Music Association’s Male Artist of the Year award, is set to take the main stage from 2:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. on November 16.

Hawks has earned acclaim for his performances at notable venues like Lincoln Theater in Raleigh and the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach, SC. He has also released three singles and an EP titled The Doghouse Sessions, all available on major streaming platforms.

Attendees at UMO’s Homecoming can look forward to Hawks’ heartfelt lyrics and Southern charm during his performance. The Saturday concert runs from noon to 6:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of musical acts, including contemporary Christian artists Consumed by Fire and Caleb and John, along with bluegrass group Luke Shamblin & Friends.

In addition to the music, the festival will offer food trucks, vendor booths, and a Kid Zone with bounce houses and activities. A single ticket provides access to the full afternoon of entertainment.
