HARDY is set to elevate the country-rock genre with his cover of Brooks & Dunn’s classic “Hillbilly Deluxe,” which will be officially released on November 15. A teaser snippet of the track was shared by Brooks & Dunn on the social platform X.
In the clip, HARDY reveals, “If I ever get up and do a song in karaoke, it’s 95% of the time it’s ‘Hillbilly Deluxe.’ I know every word.” His rendition retains the upbeat melody fans know and love while introducing a powerful, rock-infused production.
“The coolest thing about REBOOT is them giving these artists their blessing to record a version of their song the way that the artist wants to do it,” HARDY explains. “They brought the rock ‘n’ roll they loved into their own sound, and that’s pretty much a parallel to what I’m doing.”
