Genre-blending artist Cory Marks has launched a powerful new version of his track “(Make My) Country Rock,” originally released in July and featuring Sully Erna of Godsmack, Travis Tritt, and Mick Mars. The updated version, titled “(Make My) Country Rock – Harder,” amplifies the song’s intensity with added guitar work from Cody Quistad of Wage War and expert mixing and mastering by Joseph McQueen, known for his work with Bad Wolves and Bullet For My Valentine.
“‘(Make My) Country Rock – Harder’ is a beefed-up rendition of the song with heavier guitars, bigger drums, and all of us singing a little bigger and louder for those who want to rock just a bit harder,” Marks explains.
This release follows the success of Marks’ debut album, Who I Am, which propelled the Canadian-born artist to international recognition with its hit single “Outlaws & Outsiders.” That single achieved significant chart success, reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart and No. 5 on iTunes Country Songs, making history as the first Top 10 rock radio-charting single from a Canadian country music artist.
