Freddie Gibbs has unveiled a startling revelation in a standout track from his newly released album, You Only Die 1nce. The Gary, Indiana native dropped the 13-track LP on November 1 through AWAL Recordings, featuring notable tracks like “It’s Your Anniversary,” which samples Tony! Toni! Toné!’s classic 1993 hit, and the Three 6 Mafia-inspired “Brick Fees.”
The album concludes with the highly talked-about track “On The Set,” where Gibbs pays tribute to Diddy and the late Rich Homie Quan. In a poignant moment, he reveals that he contemplated quitting rap following the tragic murder of Nipsey Hussle in 2019.
You Only Die 1nce was released alongside new music from artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, Westside Gunn, and IDK. Fans can listen to Gibbs’s latest tracks and other fresh releases from Snoop Dogg, Tyler, the Creator, Lloyd Banks, and more on iHeartRadio’s Rap Rising playlist.
