The acclaimed genre-blending trio The Devil Makes Three is set to release their highly anticipated album, Spirits, on February 28, 2025, through New West Records. Produced by Ted Hutt, known for his work with Dropkick Murphys and Old Crow Medicine Show, the album features 13 tracks recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios in Hurley, NY. This marks the band’s first album since Chains Are Broken, released in 2018.
Spirits sees The Devil Makes Three returning to their raw, stripped-back roots while delving into deeper themes of grief, resilience, and self-reflection. Frontman and songwriter Pete Bernhard, who faced personal losses during the album’s creation, shares, “There’s a theme of ghosts and death running through this album…whether it’s dealing with loss, addiction, or the way people are more divided than ever. But at the end of the day, this band has always been about celebrating resilience.”
