Legendary country music band Shenandoah will perform at The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center in The Villages on Monday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m. Tickets are now available for purchase online, at the box office, or by calling.
Known for their heartfelt songs about faith, family, and small-town life, Shenandoah rose to fame with chart-topping hits like “Church on Cumberland Road,” which made country music history by spending two weeks at No. 1, and “Sunday in the South.” Their string of successes continued with “Two Dozen Roses” and the chart-topping “Next to You, Next to Me.” The band’s collaboration with Alison Krauss, “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart,” won both a CMA Award and a GRAMMY® for Best Country Performance. Shenandoah also claimed the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Group of the Year honor in 1991.
The band’s current lineup includes founding members Marty Raybon (lead vocals) and Mike McGuire (drums), alongside Paul Sanders (bass), Donnie Allen (acoustic guitar/fiddle), Andrew Ishee (keys), and Nicky V Hines (guitar).
