Garth Brooks will release The Anthology Part IV: Going Home on December 6, offering fans an intimate look into the 14 years he spent away from the spotlight in Oklahoma. This latest installment of his anthology series includes never-before-seen photos and personal stories, reflecting on the time he dedicated to family life after stepping away from music to raise his children.
“Those fourteen years of my life are the ones I’ll always remember. It was life at its best. I learned to be a dad, my girls got to know me, and I’d never for one second regret walking away from a career in order to find all of that,” Brooks shared in a statement.
The Anthology Part IV features personal anecdotes from Brooks and those closest to him, including his wife, fellow artist Trisha Yearwood, whom he has been married to since 2005. The collection also includes six discs, featuring songs from Brooks’s The Lost Sessions, Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Influences, and original tracks from his early Capitol releases. The project explores a transformative chapter in Brooks’s career, beginning with his shocking retirement announcement in 2000, following his RIAA-certified milestone of 100 million albums sold. After a 14-year hiatus, Brooks returned to the stage in 2014 with a headlining tour alongside Yearwood, followed by the Garth Brooks Stadium Tour in 2019 and a successful residency series.
