Country music star Lee Brice is set to perform at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) as part of the Cohen Community Series, an annual concert benefiting student scholarships and educational programs. Brice will bring his intimate, acoustic “You, Me, and My Guitar” tour to the Midwest Trust Center on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 7:30 p.m.

The Cohen Community Series, established in 2008 through a generous gift from Jon Stewart, a former vice chairman of the JCCC Board of Trustees, helps raise crucial funds for JCCC scholarships. The event is named in honor of Barton P. Cohen, a local philanthropist and attorney.

Proceeds from the concert directly support scholarships that ease the financial burden for students. The JCCC Foundation provides millions of dollars each year for merit-based and need-based tuition scholarships, emergency assistance funds, and other vital programs that help students succeed.

While the demand for scholarships continues to grow, these efforts have a profound impact on students like 2023 JCCC graduate, Han Pimental, who credits scholarships with transforming his educational experience.
