Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Robert Plant, best known as the iconic lead singer of Led Zeppelin, was recently spotted at Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium during a surprise visit. The legendary musician, who has long held a soft spot for the club, was given a tour of the football ground by supporter liaison officer Robert Houseman.
Plant, despite his allegiance to Wolverhampton Wanderers, admitted to having a long-standing admiration for Accrington Stanley. On his way to Harrogate for a work engagement, Plant took the opportunity to stop by the stadium he had always wanted to visit.
