The 2024 Gympie Music Muster has not only shattered attendance records but also achieved a remarkable milestone by raising over $101,000 for charity. This year, the multi-day country music festival partnered with Rural Aid, with attendees stepping up to support the vital organization.
In a statement, the festival announced that the funds raised will directly aid Rural Aid’s essential work, offering critical assistance to rural communities and farming families facing a range of challenges across Australia.
Rural Aid CEO John Warlters expressed deep appreciation for the outpouring of generosity from attendees. “The support from Gympie Music Muster attendees has been an incredible experience for us at Rural Aid,” Warlters said. “It’s given us the chance to share our story with thousands of country music fans who genuinely care about farmers. This remarkable generosity will have a significant impact on farming families, helping them navigate the daily challenges they encounter.”
Warlters also noted that the funds will go a long way in aiding those recovering from recent droughts, floods, and bushfires, as well as providing support for individuals facing mental health challenges.
