Parker McCollum is embracing fatherhood with open arms, calling the experience “a major, major blessing” as he adjusts to life with his newborn son, Major. The country music singer, who has been a dad for nearly three months, says the journey has been a rewarding one.

“Hallie Ray’s healthy and feeling great. Major’s starting to smile a little bit, and I get to give him a little bottle every now and then, which is cool,” McCollum shared with the press.

Despite the joy, Parker admits it hasn’t been without its challenges. “Every time I hold him, he starts to get fussy, and I don’t really have the touch yet. So the bottle helps with that,” he explained.

However, the “Pretty Heart” singer is adjusting well. “It took a few weeks for me to really get over the fact that it’s going to be different from here on out,” he confessed. “I was kind of freaked out for a little while, but everybody was right. It’s the greatest thing in the world. That’s my boy.”

For now, Parker is winding down his touring schedule with just five shows left this year. He’ll be back on the road in January for his What Kinda Man Tour, which begins on January 23 in Athens, Georgia.
