Luke Bryan is set to release his new single, “Country Song Came On,” to country radio on Veterans Day, November 11. The track, featured on his latest album Mind Of A Country Boy, is a nostalgic nod to his honky tonk roots.
Describing the song as a “gem,” Bryan shared, “It brings me back to the days when I was playing a lot of honky tonks early in my career.” The singer, known for his energetic country anthems, added that the track also pays homage to one of his musical influences, Earl Thomas Conley, saying, “The fact that I was able to put ETC, a nod to Earl Thomas Conley, just makes me smile every time I hear it.”
Bryan also noted that the song has a timeless quality that will resonate with fans, saying it’s sure to make listeners want to crack open a cold draft beer.
In addition to his music, Bryan has been working on a new Hulu documentary series about country music, co-produced with Peyton Manning. The series aims to celebrate the genre’s history and tell the stories of its icons. “It’s going to be a celebration of country music,” Bryan said. “Peyton and I want to create a series that tells all the stories of country music.”
