The highly anticipated Hip-Hop 101: From New York to the Bay concert, set to bring iconic groups like Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, and De La Soul to Oakland Arena on November 9, has been abruptly canceled just days before its scheduled date.

The one-day festival, which was set to celebrate the rich history of hip-hop a year after the genre’s 50th anniversary, also featured performances by Dilated Peoples, Too Short, and Mistah F.A.B. The event was organized by Adrian Scott Presents in partnership with Live Nation. However, the show was unexpectedly canceled last week, leaving fans disappointed and without any official explanation from the promoters.
