In January, aspiring country music artists from across the globe, including Nashville, New Zealand, Tasmania, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia, will converge in Tamworth, Australia, for the Senior Academy of Country Music course. The 12-day intensive program, running from January 6-17, is designed to sharpen skills and foster connections, culminating in the Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Students aged 17 to 44 will be mentored by a team of renowned industry professionals, including Artistic Director Lyn Bowtell, General Manager Roger Corbett, and group leaders Simon Johnson, Duncan Toombs, Gretta Ziller, and Anthony Snape, along with several special guests throughout the course.
Bowtell, the Academy Director, described the experience as a transformative opportunity, providing students not only the chance to learn but also to form lasting relationships with industry peers and professionals.
