BTS’ SUGA has achieved a remarkable milestone with his solo album D-2, which has topped music charts in 110 regions globally. This accomplishment marks the first time a hip-hop album has reached such widespread success. Released on May 22, 2020, D-2 followed SUGA’s debut mixtape AGUST D in 2016. The album blends traditional Korean music with modern rap, and it also peaked at No. 11 on the charts, securing the highest-ever ranking for a Korean solo mixtape.
Although five of BTS’ seven members are currently serving their mandatory military service, fans are eagerly awaiting SUGA’s next musical release. While no new solo tracks have been announced yet, the success of D-2 has only heightened anticipation for his future projects.
