Belfast-based hip-hop artist Jordan Adetunji has made waves in the music industry with a Grammy nomination for Best Melodic Rap Performance. The Northern Irish rapper’s track Kehlani, which has garnered over 300 million streams globally, earned him a spot on the prestigious shortlist, where he will compete against heavyweights like Beyoncé and The Weeknd.
Adetunji’s nomination comes as part of a larger list of notable Irish nominees, including Dublin’s post-punk band Fontaines D.C., who are up for Best Rock Album with their latest album Romance, as well as Best Alternative Music Performance for their single Starbuster.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards are set to take place in Los Angeles on February 2.
