Venezuelan rock band Viniloversus is set to make waves at the 25th Latin Grammy Awards, earning two nominations for their latest album Mi Mejor Enemigo. The band, formed in 2004 by drummer Orlando “Mango” Martinez and members Rodrigo Gonsalves, Juan V. Belisario, and Adrian Salas, has enjoyed a successful career marked by six albums and a series of accolades.

This year, they’ve been nominated for Best Rock Album for Mi Mejor Enemigo, along with a nod for Best Rock Song for their track “Animal Temporal.” It’s their first nomination in 12 years, a remarkable achievement for a band that previously garnered recognition in 2010 and 2012 with nominations for Best Rock Album and a win for Best Recording Package for their album Cambie de Nombre.

While Viniloversus doesn’t create music with awards in mind, their continued success, especially with the release of Mi Mejor Enemigo, represents a significant milestone in their career. The band will now head to Miami to celebrate their nominations at the 25th Latin Grammys.
