Several K-pop acts were among the big winners at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards, held Monday in Manchester, UK, underscoring the global dominance of South Korean idols.
Blackpink’s Lisa took home two major awards, winning Best Collaboration for her hit “New Woman” with Spanish artist Rosalía, as well as the Biggest Fans Award. On Instagram, Lisa expressed her gratitude to her fanbase, known as “Lilies,” sharing a video of her win and thanking them for making it possible.
BTS’s Jimin claimed the title of Best K-pop Artist, following the release of his highly anticipated album Muse earlier this year.
The award for Best Push, given to the standout artist from MTV’s Push campaign, went to girl group Le Sserafim. The group, known for their rising global profile, also performed at the ceremony, treating the audience to “Chasing Lightning” and the title track from their latest release, Crazy.
