Essex indie-pop trio Bilk has unveiled their latest single, “Summer Days,” a heartfelt love song from their forthcoming album Essex, Drugs and Rock and Roll, set for release on January 24, 2025.
The track, penned by frontman Sol Abrahams, reflects on the early moments of meeting his current partner. “‘Summer Days’ is about when I met my now girlfriend for the first time in the summer,” Abrahams shares. “It tells the story of how we came to be together. I’d never really written love songs before, so this was all new to me, but it came from a true place and it means a lot to me.”
Essex, Drugs and Rock and Roll follows Bilk’s string of successful releases, including their 2018 debut, two EPs in 2019 and 2021, and their self-titled album in 2023. The band has also announced a headline tour for 2025.
