Gruene Hall in New Braunfels has been honored as the 2024 Live Music Venue of the Year by the Texas Country Music Association (TCMA). The award was presented at the TCMA’s annual ceremony on November 10 at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth.
Ryan Weinbrandt, CEO of Molak Corporation, which owns and operates Gruene Hall, expressed pride in the venue’s legacy. “Live music venues are one of the great places where everyone is welcome—where all are treated with dignity and welcomed,” he said. “We’re proud to be the stewards of the oldest dance hall in Texas. It’s not always easy—we’re still sweeping up dust and wrangling the occasional raccoon—but it’s worth it when we hear people’s stories of their first time visiting.”
Known for its rich history and legendary performances by Texas icons like Willie Nelson and Randy Rogers, Gruene Hall continues to be a cherished cultural landmark. As the oldest dance hall in the state, it remains a vital part of Texas’ live music scene, upholding its reputation as a venue where music and memories come alive.
