Blake Shelton has unveiled his latest single, “Texas”, marking his debut release under his new label home, BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, and Wheelhouse Records. The song, a heartfelt ode to lost love, channels the spirit of classic ’80s and ’90s country while giving a subtle nod to one of the genre’s legends, George Strait.

Written by Johnny Clawson, Kyle Sturrock, Josh Dorr, and Lalo Guzman, “Texas” struck a chord with Shelton from the moment he first heard it. In a statement, he shared, “The thing that struck me about ‘Texas’ immediately was how different it sounded for me, and I’m always looking to push myself. I think there’s something really special about this record and it feels important to me.”

“Texas” is Shelton’s first solo release to radio since his 2022 hit “No Body” cracked the Country Airplay top 20. It also follows his successful collaboration with Post Malone on “Pour Me a Drink.” With “Texas”, Shelton aims to offer fans a fresh yet familiar sound, blending his signature style with influences from country music’s golden era.
