John Paycheck, the son of legendary country singer Johnny Paycheck, is carving out his own musical path with the release of his new album, More Days Behind. While his father is known for iconic hits like “Take This Job and Shove It” and “Old Violin,” John has taken a distinctly different route to music.
Before stepping into the spotlight, John Paycheck lived a life far removed from the country music world. He served as a firefighter, worked as a computer engineer, and later enlisted in the Army, where he continues to serve as a Major in the Reserves. It wasn’t until recent years that he chose to follow his passion for music, becoming a singer-songwriter in his own right.
More Days Behind features a collection of tracks, mostly written or co-written by Paycheck himself, with one notable exception. The album blends his diverse influences, offering a fresh sound and an intimate reflection of his personal journey. Through this new project, John Paycheck demonstrates his commitment to carving out a unique identity in the country music scene.
