David Wilburn Parton, the older brother of country music legend Dolly Parton, has passed away at the age of 82. The news was shared by Parton’s sister, Stella, on social media. The cause of death has not been revealed.
In a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter), Stella Parton wrote, “My brother David passed away peacefully this morning. It’s never easy to say goodbye to a loved one, but he got his angel wings and is now at peace.”
Stella also shared a post on Facebook the following day, expressing the pain of losing a loved one and confirming that David had passed “in the early hours of the morning.” The Parton family is mourning the loss of David, who is remembered by his loved ones as a beloved family member.
