Buffalo County Fair Announces 2025 Country Headliners

The Buffalo County Fair is set to light up Kearney with a mix of country music legends and rising stars for its 2025 concerts.

The lineup includes BlackHawk and Sammy Kershaw as the headliners for Friday, July 25. On Saturday, July 26, Ian Munsick will take the stage with special guest Josh Ross. Both shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Landmark Implement Arena, with tickets going on sale this Friday at 10:00 a.m. via etix.

Fans of 90s country can expect a nostalgic experience as BlackHawk and Kershaw bring their classic hits to Kearney. BlackHawk, fronted by founding members Henry Paul and Dave Robbins, achieved five Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association award nominations between 1993 and 1995. Their catalog includes 16 top 50 singles on the U.S. Country chart, such as “Goodbye Says it All,” “I’m Not Strong Enough to Say No,” and “Like There Ain’t No Yesterday.” Meanwhile, Kershaw’s career boasts 16 studio albums, three of which have gone platinum. Between 1991 and 1999, he achieved 25 top 50 hits, including fan favorites like “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful,” “Third Rate Romance,” and “Love of My Life.”

Saturday night will spotlight a younger generation of country talent. Ian Munsick, a Wyoming native who recently headlined county fair shows in Adams and Madison counties, brings his fresh take on country music. With three albums under his belt, Munsick has charted singles such as “Long Live Cowgirls” alongside Cody Johnson.

Joining Munsick is Josh Ross, a rising star from Burlington, Ontario. Ross has already made waves in Canada, with chart-topping singles including “Trouble,” “Ain’t Doin’ Jack,” and “Single Again,” as he expands his reach into the U.S. country music scene.
