Bill Medley, the legendary baritone from The Righteous Brothers, is set to release his first new album in over a decade, Straight From The Heart, on February 14. The 12-track collection marks a new chapter for Medley, showcasing his powerful voice as he delves into country music ballads.
Produced by Fred Mollin, the album features a star-studded lineup of collaborations, including Vince Gill, Michael McDonald, Keb’ Mo’, and Shawn Colvin. In anticipation of the release, Medley has unveiled a second single from the album, “(Since You’ve) Gone,” a heartfelt rendition of the 1950s classic originally recorded by country singer Ferlin Husky. This follows the previously released “These Days,” a collaboration with Vince Gill.
Medley’s connection to country music spans decades, beginning with a trip to Nashville with Kenny Rogers in 1978. Over the years, he has built strong relationships within the country music community, earning an ACM nomination for Top New Male Vocalist in 1985 and sharing stages with icons like Loretta Lynn, Alabama, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, and Kris Kristofferson.
