Shelton credits Post Malone with helping reignite his creative spark. The country superstar shared how he had fallen into a period of complacency after his departure from The Voice, during which he refrained from releasing solo music. He admitted, “I was kind of just complacent and not in any hurry.”
However, everything changed when Malone invited Shelton to collaborate on the hit song “Pour Me A Drink.” Shelton reflects on the experience, saying it reminded him of the excitement and passion he had once felt. “It took off and was a big hit this summer, and it reminded me like, ‘Hey, get off your ass! This may be your last chance to really take a big swing at this thing.’”
Now, with renewed energy and a new mindset, Shelton is ready to embrace the opportunity to take a bold step in his career, marking a fresh beginning with the release of his new track.
