Country music star Jamey Johnson was arrested in Williamson County, Tennessee, over the weekend, facing charges of drug possession and speeding, according to authorities.
The 49-year-old singer-songwriter, known for hits like In Color and his recently released album Midnight Gasoline, was taken into custody on Sunday, November 17. His bond was set at $500,000.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed Johnson’s arrest, stating, “We can confirm that Jamey Johnson was arrested on Sunday, Nov. 17, in Williamson County. The incident is still under investigation.”
Johnson’s Midnight Gasoline album, which marks his first release in several years, has drawn attention for its personal and raw content, including the track “Sober,” which reflects his past struggles with alcohol.
