Extreme metal supergroup SCOUR, featuring heavyweights like Philip H. Anselmo (Pantera, Down), Derek Engemann, John Jarvis, Mark Kloeppel, and Adam Jarvis, is set to release their much-anticipated debut full-length album, Gold, on February 21, 2025. The album will be released via Housecore Records in North America and Nuclear Blast in Europe and Australia.
Building on the atmosphere established in their previous EP trilogy, Gold delivers a maelstrom of aggression, speed, and horror, taking listeners on a journey through the nightmarish landscapes of literary horror. The album’s themes explore death, madness, and the sinister forces that shape the mind. Its brutal sound blends black metal with elements of grindcore, punk, and thrash, pushing the boundaries of extreme metal while staying true to its roots.
To preview the upcoming release, SCOUR has dropped the first single, “Infusorium,” accompanied by a striking music video filmed and edited by Malcolm Pugh. The track promises to deliver the same intense, relentless energy that defines the band’s uncompromising sound.
