Country fans are gearing up as the 58th annual Country Music Awards take over Nashville for what promises to be a spectacular night of music and celebration. Co-hosted by Luke Bryan and NFL legend Peyton Manning, this year’s event will see reigning country superstar Lainey Wilson joining them on stage. Wilson, who claimed five awards last year, including Entertainer of the Year, is set to bring her signature energy to the evening.
“Lainey’s got the personality to come right into the mix with me and Peyton and just have fun,” Bryan remarked, emphasizing the dynamic hosting trio.
The CMA lineup has fans buzzing with excitement, featuring performances by Chris Stapleton, Post Malone, Kelsea Ballerini, Jelly Roll, Dierks Bentley, Lainey Wilson, Luke Combs, first-time nominee Shaboozey, and New Artist of the Year contender Bailey Zimmerman.
Zimmerman expressed his mix of anticipation and nerves, saying, “It’s gonna be everything. It’s gonna be crazy. I’m telling you, I’m nervous for it. Honestly, it’s something I’ve never done before and you’ll see come the night, but whoa.”
Ashley McBryde will also take the stage, offering a heartfelt tribute to Kris Kristofferson with a solo performance. “It’s just me and the guitar,” McBryde shared. “The song I’m playing is one my dad taught me as a kid, before I knew who Kris was or that so many of his songs would become my favorites.”
Leading this year’s nominations is Morgan Wallen, who has seven nods, including the night’s top honor: Entertainer of the Year.
The 58th annual Country Music Awards will air Wednesday night at 8/7c, bringing Nashville’s biggest night to audiences across the country.
