Country music legend George Strait, 72, made a rare public appearance at the 2024 CMA Awards in Nashville on November 20, attending the star-studded event with his wife, Norma. While Strait was not seen on the red carpet, the camera caught him in the audience during the opening remarks from hosts Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning, and Lainey Wilson.
The couple, seated in the front row, later posed for a photo with Post Malone, with Strait dressed in an all-black outfit and his signature cowboy hat, while Norma wore a stylish black-and-white sleeveless dress.
Fans on social media were thrilled to see the country icon at the event, but many couldn’t help but speculate on his thoughts about the direction of modern country music. One viewer on X (formerly Twitter) commented, “I can’t help but wonder what George Strait is thinking about today’s country music sitting in the front row.”
