Essex-based death metal outfit BEYOND EXTINCTION has dropped their ferocious new single “Tyranny,” accompanied by a brutal music video. The track features a chilling guest vocal performance from Alex Teyen of Black Tongue, adding an extra layer of aggression to the already menacing sound.
The band shares their excitement about the collaboration: “This was a crossover we’ve dreamed of since we were teenagers. Dropping down to double drop B and adding Alex from Black Tongue onto the track feels completely natural. It’s slow, heavy, and massive in scale, perfectly matching the track’s lyrics and the dystopian themes we’re exploring.”
Formed at the young age of 17, BEYOND EXTINCTION quickly made their mark on the death metal scene. Their 2021 debut EP The Fatal Flaws of Humankind showcased their ability to blend heavy riffs with insightful social commentary, earning them a spot on Bloodstock Festival’s New Blood stage. Their 2023 EP Nothing More Wretched further honed their sound, influenced by their tours with bands like Signs of the Swarm and Humanity’s Last Breath.
