Country music star Kip Moore has capped off a monumental 2024 with the surprise release of two brand-new songs, “Flowers in December” and “Wildfire.” The multi-platinum artist continues to push creative boundaries with these contrasting tracks, showcasing his versatility and passion for storytelling.
“Flowers in December” is a poignant ballad co-written with Erich Wigdahl and co-produced with Jaren Johnston. The reflective song captures a deep sense of melancholy, adding a heartfelt touch to Moore’s discography. On the other hand, “Wildfire” delivers the fiery, anthemic country sound Moore is known for. Co-written with Oscar Charles, Dan Couch, and Hank Born, and co-produced with Charles, the track bursts with energy and emotion.
The new releases follow Moore’s recent triumph at the 58th Annual CMA Awards, where he earned the 2024 International Artist Achievement Award. They also build on his recent momentum, which includes the singles “Learning As I Go” and “Live Here to Work,” the latter marking his first release in two years.
This year has been a landmark one for Moore, who embraced artistic independence, partnered with Virgin Music Group, and headlined arenas in Australia. With “Flowers in December” and “Wildfire,” Moore continues to solidify his place as a powerhouse in the country music scene.
