A$AP FERG, a key figure in the A$AP Mob and a successful solo artist, is embracing vulnerability on his new album DAROLD, offering fans a deeper look into his personal journey. FERG discussed how the project marks a departure from his previous work by revealing stories that had remained untold until now.

“This is the most I’ve ever talked about myself,” FERG confessed the personal nature of DAROLD. “It’s about being vulnerable—showing sides of Ferg that people haven’t seen before.”

One of the album’s core themes is his relationship with his father, an influence that has shaped not just his music but his entire creative process. FERG, who attended art and design high school, credits his father, also an artist, with introducing him to a wide range of artistic disciplines. From fashion to fine arts, FERG’s upbringing in a household rich in creativity influenced his approach to music, merchandise, and brand development.

“I went to art school and majored in fashion and fine arts, so I’ve always been into art,” FERG shared. “My dad taught me how to design, sew, and even make merchandise. These skills have been essential in shaping my solo career and expanding my creative vision.”

With DAROLD, FERG continues to evolve not only as an artist but also as a multifaceted creative, blending his music with visual art and entrepreneurship to build a lasting legacy.
