Pop Evil continues to redefine their sound with the release of their latest track, “Deathwalk,” accompanied by a haunting new music video. Following their intense single “What Remains,” the band dives deeper into darker, more introspective territory with this cinematic offering, released via MNRK Heavy.
Directed by Sam Shapiro and produced by Zach Jones & KJ Strock, the video takes viewers into the fragmented mind of lead singer Leigh Kakaty. As he wrestles with existential questions surrounding mortality and legacy, Kakaty explores the blurred line between self-identity and survival.
“We are the accused, the guilty, the damned,” Kakaty reflects. “At the end of our ‘Deathwalk,’ judgment awaits. Are you at peace with what you will leave behind?”
This release follows Pop Evil’s August return with “What Remains,” a track that marks the beginning of a bold new chapter for the band. With “What Remains” currently holding a spot in the Top 10 on the Mainstream Active Rock Chart, the band is preparing to launch their eighth studio album in spring 2025, promising a sound heavier than ever before.
