by Barbara

After years of energizing crowds as a live act, Orlando’s Universal Funk Orchestra has finally dropped their long-awaited debut album—a genre-blending celebration of rhythm and groove. Their self-titled release is anything but a slow burn; it’s an explosive collection of funk, rock, and rap that reflects the eclectic mix of backgrounds within the band.

With 11 tracks packed with infectious grooves, sizzling guitar riffs, and cosmic electronic touches, the album delivers exactly what fans have been waiting for: a high-energy, ass-shaking experience. True to their mission, Universal Funk Orchestra serves up a musical gumbo that’s as vibrant as it is varied, from deep funk rhythms to rock-driven anthems, all underpinned by rap verses and boundless energy.

Now available for streaming everywhere, the album is also being offered in a limited-edition purple-splatter vinyl on Bandcamp. To celebrate the release, UFO will perform live at Orlando’s Will’s Pub this Saturday, November 30, alongside fellow artists CreativAngel, E-Turn, Warm Fuzzy, and DJ K1X. Tickets are priced between $12-$15.
