A country music-themed charity ball has raised an impressive £23,000 for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, which supports some of Yorkshire’s most vulnerable families. The event, held at The Coniston Hotel and Spa in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, brought together 140 guests for an evening of live music, dinner, and fundraising in support of children facing significant challenges.
The Principle Trust, founded in 2011 by Yorkshire businessman Mike Davies, MBE, provides respite breaks for children who are disadvantaged, disabled, dealing with life-limiting conditions, or who have endured trauma or abuse. The ball, a staple of the charity’s annual fundraising efforts, was generously supported by local businesses, with all proceeds earmarked for providing more than 30 families with a free week-long break.
Since its inception, The Principle Trust has provided respite for over 5,000 children across Yorkshire, helping families who might not otherwise be able to afford a holiday. The £23,000 raised will make a tangible difference, ensuring more children can enjoy a much-needed break and create lasting memories in a safe, supportive environment.
The event’s success is a testament to the ongoing generosity of the Yorkshire community, ensuring that the charity’s vital work continues to grow and reach even more families in need.
