by Barbara

The Nambucca Valley Country Music Club has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to supporting local causes, wrapping up 2024 with a heartwarming round of charitable donations at its annual Christmas party. Held on Sunday, at the Macksville Ex-Services Club, the event saw the club’s members and guests raise $500 each for three deserving local organizations: the Nambucca Valley Cancer Support Group, the Nambucca Valley Food Hub, and Coffs Coast Community Radio 2Air FM.

The donations, which totaled $1,500, were part of the club’s ongoing mission to support smaller, community-driven not-for-profits in the region. “We focus on raising funds for the smaller local not-for-profits who often need a bit of a hand financially,” said Nambucca Valley Country Music Club President Kerrie Garvie. “But while fundraising is important, let’s not forget that we are all about our love for country music, with top-notch guest artists regularly performing at our monthly gatherings.”
