The HKGNA Music Festival 2024 is set to kick off, offering a unique cultural celebration that bridges the worlds of classical music, Canto-pop, and K-pop on one stage. The festival, which aims to showcase Hong Kong’s emerging musical talents, is a collaborative effort between the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Hong Kong Office of the Government in Beijing and Tianjin, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong.
The HKGNA Music Festival is not only a celebration of diverse musical genres but also serves as a cultural exchange between Korea and Hong Kong. “HKGNA Music Festival 2024 is a testament to Hong Kong’s status as a global arts and cultural hub,” said Ms. Michelle Kim, Founder of HKGNA. “By bringing together the best of classical, Canto-pop, and K-pop, we aim to inspire and empower the next generation of musical talents, while showcasing the city’s vibrant and diverse cultural landscape.”
A major highlight of the festival will be the world-premiere duet between Hong Kong’s beloved singer Hins Cheung and South Korea’s Sung Si-Kyung, set to take place on November 29 at AXA x Wonderland. The following day, Cheung will return to the stage, this time performing with the Hong Kong Children’s Choir and the Hong Kong Youth Orchestra, offering an exciting fusion of music that reflects the festival’s cross-genre ethos.
The HKGNA Music Festival 2024 promises to be a powerful platform for musical innovation and collaboration, setting the stage for an unforgettable cultural experience.
