Knosis & Nik Nocturnal Transform Creepy Nuts’ ‘Otonoke’ Into a Metal Masterpiece

by Barbara

Ryo Kinoshita and Yosh Morita of Knosis have teamed up with YouTube sensation and metal expert Nik Nocturnal to deliver a high-octane metal cover of Creepy Nuts’ hit song Otonoke. The track, which originally served as the opening anthem for the anime DAN DA DAN, gets a heavy overhaul, blending chaos and melody into a metal powerhouse.

This collaboration marks another milestone in the partnership between Ryo and Nik, who previously worked together on Nik’s “How To Metal” series, creating the Architects-inspired track Architect. Now, with Yosh in tow, the trio has reimagined Otonoke, transforming it from a peppy banger into a full-throttle metal music anthem. Ryo’s guttural growls, paired with Yosh’s clean vocals, offer a dynamic contrast, making this cover a wild, electrifying rendition of the original.

In addition to the cover, Nik Nocturnal is preparing for his annual online award show, set to stream live on Twitch on December 6th. Among the nominees are Knosis’ FUHAI for “Breakdown of the Year” and DEXCORE’s PARAMNESIA for “Best BLEGH,” with BABYMETAL x Electric Callboy also up for two awards. Fans can vote before the December 2nd deadline.
