Great American Ghost has unveiled “Kerosene”, the fourth single from their highly anticipated album Tragedy of the Commons, set to drop on January 31st via SharpTone Records. The track kicks off the album with a blistering buzzsaw riff and a relentless industrial beat, drawing inspiration from iconic acts like Nine Inch Nails, HEALTH, Slayer, and Meshuggah. “Kerosene” showcases the band’s ability to merge genres, delivering a hard-hitting sound that’s both intense and atmospheric.
The accompanying music video, directed and edited by Anthony Altamura, enhances the track’s dark, haunting themes, blending elements of horror with a sense of unease.
Vocalist Ethan Harrison describes the track as an anthem for nihilism, saying, “Kerosene is a song about absolute nihilism. If the world is truly hopeless, forlorn, irredeemable, then this is its anthem.”
With “Kerosene”, Great American Ghost signals a bold step into the industrial metal realm, setting the stage for their upcoming album.
