The highly anticipated 2025 edition of the Sick New World Festival, scheduled for April 12th at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, has been abruptly canceled, leaving fans disappointed and scrambling to adjust their travel plans.
Organizers announced the shocking cancellation, citing “unforeseen circumstances” they were unable to overcome. The one-day festival was set to feature some of rock’s biggest names, including Metallica, Linkin Park, Queens of the Stone Age, Evanescence, and Gojira, among others. The lineup was poised to make Sick New World one of the most anticipated rock events of 2025.
In a statement shared on social media, the festival’s organizers expressed their regret: “Despite our best efforts, we’ve encountered unforeseen circumstances that we are unable to overcome for next year’s show.” They thanked fans for their support and assured ticket holders that refunds would be processed within 30 days.
The cancellation had been hinted at earlier in the week when Tomahawk’s Trevor Dunn revealed that the event was “not happening.” His comments, which were later corroborated, sent shockwaves through the rock community, especially as the festival had already built excitement with its massive lineup.
As the 2025 festival is officially off, fans are left awaiting further details about the future of Sick New World and the reasons behind its sudden cancelation.
